Support Page

Some of this space will be dedicated to the interviews I've done with links for you to check them out. The hosts are amazing and I would be thrilled if you supported them by watching an episode or two. They deserve it for doing so much to indie authors, like myself.

The bottom portion of this page is dedicated to the books I've read. The goal, for me, is to make it a changing list of what I'm currently reading, a recommended indie book, and a recommended book that may or may not be indie. I think I should also make a list below it just so people can check out older entries. This is something I had in mind to do at the start of my website, but never actually did (primarily because making a website is a little confusing/frustrating at times, and because I lost motivation to do it, haha.)

So, if you're looking for a new book, but don't want to read one of mine, or have already read my books (thank you!), these are what I recommend.

Author Adjacent

I had the privilege of being on the Youtube show, Author Adjacent multiple times already. This was my very first interview too. Michael Vadney is a wonderful host, and is the author of the book: Crownfall

BOOKED

I had a delightful interview with Saffron Asteria. Her channel is growing quite well, so much so that I had to schedule the interview far in advance - like FAR. Luckily, that had been the plan at the start, so it worked out. I am looking forward to future interviews on BOOKED. Saffron is a fantastic host and just all around fun person to talk with.

Quill & Query

Another fantastic interview was with Quill & Query, hosted by A.M. Aycock and Brandon Hall. Unfortunately, I had connection issues and had to turn my camera off, but it was still a very fun interview. We even got to talk a little bit about the band Flight of the Concords.

All Caps Book Chat

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Isaac Anderson a couple of times. We spoke about my Ruination Game series, and even played a game in one of the interviews. He's a fun guy and makes the interview process relaxing and fun.

Fable Features

This was a fun interview to do. It was a written one, rather than on video. Linnae Klutchko takes on the persona of the character, Patricia Parrington, and interviews a character (rather than the author), as if they've been teleported away during their book for an interview. It was a lot of fun to go back into Xander's head and come up with his answers.

When Shadows Fall

Lindy Enns does a wonderful job with worldbuilding in the world she created. It has pieces of Steampunk without being Steampunk. It's fully rooted into fantasy, and adding shadow monsters influenced some ideas for some of the books that I am currenlty working on.

And as a bonus, book 2 is already available!

When the sun sets in Merak, a terrifying shadow world appears, guarded by nightmare beasts that prowl the darkness enforcing the rule of a tyrant lord.

Terrified of the night and plagued with crippling panic attacks, seventeen-year-old Ara Holstenner’s only solace from her anxiety is the bond she shares with her brave younger sister. But when Lan is taken by shadow creatures, Ara must embark on a perilous quest to rescue her, aided only by a strange boy who claims to be from her past.

But the night is not what it seems. If Ara cannot untangle the dark secrets lurking within its shadows, she will condemn her sister—and herself—to a lifetime of unimaginable torment.

Crownfall

Michael Vadney's debut novel, and a well done one at that. Mixing magic and a political uprising isn't easy for a first story, but Vadney pulls it off like a pro. The story is split between 3 POVs, all with different ideals, goals, and personalities, but they come together nicely in a unique and tense adventure.

Nearly a decade under the empire's grip has left Burunt a troubled land.

Kyndel Heim knows the truth behind the Viceroy's rise to power. After years of torture, his only goal is vengeance, but to master his powers he needs a mentor, one that won't kill him first.

Major Jelert Egarro came to Burunt to build something better. Instead, his talents have become weapons in the wrong hands-and those hands are everywhere. He must choose between his ideals or survival.

Lady Amara Khar must renew her family's legacy. Sharp and ruthless, she's kept her house alive through smuggling and shadow deals, but reclaiming power means making allies as dangerous as her enemies.

In the struggle for power, justice, and survival, each of them must decide who they're willing to become.
